Through teeth whitening procedures, you can enhance the overall appearance of a smile that is discolored or stained. Our Calgary dental office has several options when it comes to making your teeth whiter.
Our friendly and reliable staff will make sure you’re satisfied with the results of your treatment.
Habits, aging, and lifestyle can all contribute to teeth staining and discolouration. Here are more reasons teeth appear darker, overtime:
Our minimally-invasive teeth whitening options can help brighten your teeth.
Teeth whitening offers a quick and effective solution to stained and discolored teeth. Patients decide to whiten their teeth for several reasons:
Zoom!® laser teeth whitening lets you see significant changes in the appearance of your smile in a single dental visit. This whitening solution is safe and minimally-invasive.
Compared to other whitening options, Zoom!® uses a more powerful whitening agent. It gives you longer-lasting and visible results minus the lengthy procedure.
First, your dentist places a gum guard in your mouth to protect your gums and lips from the whitening gel. A gel is then applied to each of your teeth. After which, your teeth are exposed to Zoom!® LED accelerator for 15 minutes. The gel is reapplied again. And the process is repeated for up to 3-4 times.
Overall, the process takes only about 90 minutes to complete. You can transform your teeth up to 8 shades whiter. You’ll see immediate results and leave our dental office with a brighter set of pearly whites.
Apart from the Zoom!® whitening system, another option for whitening your teeth are take-home whitening trays. We create custom trays that you can wear at home.
One advantage of at-home teeth whitening is that you can do the procedure by yourself, at home. You will not have to go back and forth to the dental office to receive your treatment.
It takes an average of two weeks to see maximum improvements in the appearance of your teeth. The take-home whitening trays can also be used as a touch-up for in-office teeth whitening.
Our dentists will work with you in choosing a teeth whitening solution that is most suitable for you.
Whitening can last for several years provided you’ll follow the instructions provided by your dentist and you maintain good oral hygiene habits.
Here are tips to reduce teeth staining. All of which are beneficial before and after getting teeth whitening treatments.
Teeth whitening works great for patients with a healthy set of teeth and no dental work, such as fillings or crowns on their front teeth (these cannot be whitened like natural teeth).
Teeth whitening may not be ideal if you have dental restorations or sensitive teeth and gums. That is why we recommend that you schedule a consultation at our dental office in Calgary to discuss all your options.
